"Coneheads" Beldar Conehead's (Dan Aykroyd) Jacket, Shirt, and Necktie

Description

Acquired by the production for use in "Coneheads" (1993) for Dan Aykroyd's character "Beldar Conehead." This is a three-piece lot consisting of a jacket, a shirt, and a necktie.

Jacket: Blue nylon jacket with plastic-covered snap closure on obverse. Slash pockets at either side of waist. Sleeve cuffs are elasticized. Bottom has a blue drawstring to tighten for wearer. White applique at proper left chest reads “PHS / SPARTANS” with a stylized image of an ancient Spartan warrior between the text. Interior and pockets lined in white cotton. Interior tag indicates “ROCKY TRAIL” brand, size XL.

Shirt: White cotton button-up shirt with maroon pinstripes.  Shirt has patch pocket on chest of proper left panel. Buttons up in center with pearl buttons. Shirt has French cuffs and two pearl buttons. Stamp on bottom of proper left panel on front with text reading "19 6 T-COUNT 4A SC / 18080 A12132576 " with ACTWU in rectangle below. White tag sewn into collar with text reading "55% COMBED COTTON-45% POLYESTER / IMPORTED FABRIC / TAILORED IN U.S.A / MACHINE WASH WARM. TUMBLE DRY LOW. / ONLY NON-CHLORINE BLEACH". Stamp on proper left of tag reading " 19 38 / TALL". Handwritten text below tag reads "BELDAR" with white tag below that has text reading "THE MALIBU / COLLECTION."

Necktie: Red, white, and navy blue diagonally striped silk necktie. Tag sewn to center of back with text reading "BIG MAN'S SHOP / LOS ANGELES". Tag sewn to bottom of tie on back with Italian flag and text reading "ALL SILK /WOVEN IN / ITALY / HAND FASHIONED."

Condition

Jacket: Minor wear and soiling at and around collar on obverse. Minor pin holes throughout. Small burn hole in proper left sleeve. Minor wrinkling / creasing throughout. Minor loose strings on interior.

Shirt: Small pinholes from display throughout front and back. Collar is slightly worn and stained due to use.

Necktie: No signs of damage.
