Description
Acquired by the production for use in "The Carol Burnett Show" (1967-1978) for Jim Nabors. Besides his well-known portrayal of "Gomer Pyle" on both "The Andy Griffith Show" and "Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C.," Nabors was an accomplished singer and the featured guest on every season premiere of "The Carol Burnett Show." This is a two (2) piece lot consisting of a jacket and a pair of pants.
Jacket: Black velvet tuxedo jacket with black lapels. Three button front closure. Black piping around edges of jacket and cuffs. Pockets on obverse on each side of waist with black piping. Peppino brand. Interior tag on interior proper right pocket has Peppino information and handwritten and printed text reading “M-TX-SU-4 / MR. Jim Nabors EC / DATE 2/5/68 Size 40.”
Pants: Black tuxedo dress pants with velvet stripes down sides of each pant leg. Pants have zipper fly and hook and eye closures at waist. Interior tag on interior proper right pocket has Peppino information and handwritten and printed text reading “M-TX-SU-4 / EC. Jim Nabors EC / DATE 4/9/68 Size 34/32.”

Condition
Jacket: No signs of damage.
Pants: Small tear and repair at end of zipper on obverse.
