Description
Jacket created by the production for use in "Anne of the Thousand Days" (1969) for Richard Burton's portrayal of "King Henry VIII." Silver silk jacket with black cut velvet dots. Black piping throughout creates diamond pattern and is also found along trim and makes up decorative swirled design outlined in gold on cuffs and bottom edge. Collar of jacket is black velvet with gold-toned leaf designed embroidered throughout. Interior Angels label sewn in at neckline with faint handwriting in red that reads “BURTON.”

Condition
Collar is faded. Loss of material at top fold of collar. Loose thread at proper left side of skirt towards waist. Tears to material at obverse proper right side of waist. Areas where black piping that makes up diamond pattern is loose. Tears throughout interior lining.
