Prop book and magazine created by the production for use in "Get Shorty" (1995). Both covers feature Danny DeVito as his character "Martin Weir."

Book: Prop copy of “Weir’d Tales / STORIES MY COUSIN TOLD ME” by Martin Weir and Morty Duffkin. Prop is a piece of Styrofoam with book cover attached. Front cover has black and white image of Danny Devito. Same image is on reverse with text underneath that reads “ST. GENESUIS PRESS, NEW YORK, N.Y. 10022 / PRINTED IN U.S.A. 1995 ST. SENESUIS PRESS.”

Magazine: Prop “Newsweek” magazine with Danny DeVito on the cover. Text on obverse reads “SHOWDOWN IN CONGRESS: CRISIS OR BREAKTHROUGH? / Newsweek /. March 5, 1995: $2.95 / NAPOLEON, SOLO / Martin Weir / On His Epic / Adventures In Film.” Item consists of a magazine cover intentionally mounted on a foam core board.

Condition

Book: Wear along edges. Dark accretion along bottom edge. Circular indentations throughout reverse.

Magazine: Glue residue and areas peeled of off board on reverse.
