"Inspector Maigret (Maigret tend un piège)" Jules Maigret's (Jean Gabin) Hat and Pipe

Description

Hat and pipe acquired by the production for use in the French film "Inspector Maigret (Maigret tend un piège (Maigret Sets a Trap))" (1958) for Jean Gabin's character Le commissaire divisionnaire Jules Maigret.

Hat: Brown felt hat with a brown hatband.  The number “5” is in white on the interior.

Pipe: Pipe with a wooden appearance on the bowl and shank. Stem ends in a small flat bit.

Obtained directly from Jean Gabin.

Includes Planet Hollywood Certificate of Authenticity.

Mannequin not included.

Condition

Hat: Hat has lost some of its rigidity. Minor fading throughout. A loose string is on the hatband.

Pipe: Pipe has been used, and interior of bowl is darkened.  Stem is dulled with age.
