"Judge Dredd" Access Unit

Description

Created by the production for use in "Judge Dredd" (1995). Prop card reader, or access unit, made of a block of wood covered on five sides with a plastic piece painted silver and black, with a piece of black paper adhered to front surface. The paper reads "2 / ACCESS UNIT" at center and "ACCESS UNIT INTERNAL / SEQUENCE SET AT 6387F" along bottom. Has a prop vertical slot for reading access cards. Wooden block has two round metal loops screwed in on the back, at top.

Obtained directly from the film's production company, Cinergi Pictures.

Includes Planet Hollywood Certificate of Authenticity.

Condition

Some loss of paint, especially at corners. Black paper piece is lifting slightly at edges. Unclear if wooden block was originally part of the prop or added for display purposes. Crack in plastic along top back corner of proper right side.
