"Braveheart" Prop Shield

Description

Shield created by the production for use in "Braveheart" (1995). Wooden shield covered with red leather on the obverse. Two leather straps on reverse are bolted to the shield.

Includes Planet Hollywood Certificate of Authenticity.

Condition

Evidence of prior damage with repair throughout front, most likely intentional or occurred during filming.  Knife holes throughout shield.  Leather is peeling away from wood along top edge.  Black staining throughout obverse.  Loss of wood throughout reverse.
