"The Postman Always Rings Twice" Autographed Lana Turner and John Garfield Photograph

Description

Sepia toned autographed photograph of Lana Turner with a cigarette in her mouth and John Garfield to her proper right with a lighter in hand for her cigarette. Signatures of both stars can be found around their chest area in blue. Writing in bottom proper left corner of image reads "S1355-12". Writing along the bottom edge of border reads "THE POSTMAN ALWAYS RINGS TWICE / Exploitation Still". Copyright information to the proper left of that. Handwriting on the reverse side of photograph reads "Lana Turner / and / John Garfield / in "The Postman Always / Rings Twice" / a Metro Goldwyn Mayer / picture which also stared / Cecil Kellaway / Hume Cronyn / and Mr. Leon Ames / Copy written in 1946".

Originally acquired from Christie's Los Angeles on December 15, 1996, Lot 38.

Condition

Areas around edge where remnants of tape can be found. Discoloring throughout reverse side of image. Minor creases at corners.
