"9 Lives" Morris the Cat's Food Bowl

Production-made cat food bowl created for promotional use connected to 9Lives and its famous feline spokesperson Morris the Cat. The white ceramic bowl features straight sides and displays the classic “[star] Morris” logo in blue script on both exterior sides. The underside is stamped “SPAIN-WAECHTERSBACH,” identifying the bowl’s manufacturer.

Obtained directly from Edelman, the public relations firm representing 9Lives, in 1997, this promotional piece represents a unique artifact tied to one of advertising’s most recognizable animal mascots. A charming collectible for fans of vintage advertising, television commercial memorabilia, and pop culture history surrounding Morris the Cat.
