"Empire Records" Warren's (Brendan Sexton III) Costume and Script Pages
Description
This costume ensemble and script pages are associated with the character Warren, portrayed by Brendan Sexton III, in the cult classic film Empire Records. The grouping includes Warren’s distinctive maroon windbreaker jacket featuring a polo-style collar and five snap-button front closure, with welt pockets at each side. The proper left chest is embroidered with a yellow oval emblem topped by a light blue crown and the letters “PMB,” while the center back displays a tan graphic of a pig lying on its back. The jacket has an adjustable maroon drawstring at the bottom hem and is lined with white cotton fabric, with the interior tag removed. Also included is a navy, olive, and tan striped shirt with a Banana Republic label at the neckline, paired with blue Dickies brand jeans sized 32x32, featuring welt pockets on the front and back, a tool pocket on the proper right thigh, and a hammer loop on the proper left thigh, reflecting Warren’s casual, working-class look in the film.
Completing the costume is a pair of Adidas Campus casual sneakers in size 7 1/2, consisting of both the proper right and proper left shoe. Each sneaker features black suede forefoot overlays, a white leather counter, white rubber sole, and three white leather diagonal stripes on each side. Gold “CAMPUS” lettering appears near the heel on the outer sides, with adidas branding present on the tongue labels, heel counters, interior tags, and insoles. Both shoes retain foam pieces attached to the tongues, with one black shoelace partially strung on the proper right shoe and the remaining lace loose inside, while the proper left shoe has no lace attached.
The lot also includes nine stapled script pages from the film, corresponding to the pivotal scene in which Warren is holding a gun, offering a compelling written counterpart to the on-screen wardrobe. Together, these elements form a visually complete and character-defining grouping tied to one of Empire Records’ most memorable roles.
Ideal for collectors of 1990s film memorabilia, cult movie costumes, or screenplay material, this ensemble represents a standout piece from a beloved generation-defining film.
Condition
The jacket shows light staining on the interior shoulders and along the top of the collar, with small dirt stains near the bottom edge on the proper left side of the center seam. The script pages have been folded and stored inside the jacket pocket, resulting in light staining on the back page where the paper contacted the pocket. The shirt shows overall color fading with minor creasing throughout. The jeans display light fraying at the reverse bottom edges of the pant leg cuffs. Both shoes exhibit heavy wear, with discoloration to the suede at the toes, tongues, and outer sides, worn and difficult-to-read writing, white accretions near the diagonal stripes, discoloration and yellowing to the soles, flaking to the white leather primarily at the back counters, black marking over the logo areas, and additional scuffing and discoloration to the diagonal stripes.
