"Lost in Space" Techie Vest

Description

Offered here is a distinctive “techie” vest from the sci-fi adventure film Lost in Space (1998). This black nylon vest features an elaborate futuristic design consistent with the film’s advanced technology aesthetic. The front center displays bold red “e-com” text, while the base of each shoulder strap contains clear plastic pockets fitted with black rectangular panels accented by four neon yellow rectangular shapes.

The lower front portion of the vest is outfitted with a black and gray plastic square component connected to yellow and black rubber wires that extend to matching black and gray square pieces mounted on each side. The proper right component is decorated with two holographic car stickers, while the proper left component features one holographic car sticker and a holographic heart sticker, adding a distinctive personalized detail. A circular badge on the proper left chest is painted blue with yellow trim and a light blue star background, bearing white text that reads “a.s.o.m.a.c.”

Both side panels are constructed of black mesh and attach to the interior back with Velcro. Each panel is equipped with three adjustable clasp straps for a secure fit. The shoulder straps are topped with orange-brown rubber panels extending toward the back, embedded with multiple black rectangular rubber accents. These panels connect at the upper back to a black plastic piece, reinforcing the vest’s technical appearance.

At the center of the back, two black plastic rectangular components are connected via yellow and black rubber wires. Each piece features extending cords with clasps. Completing the design, large red “e-com” lettering appears across the lower back of the vest.

Condition

Scratches throughout plastic and rubber pieces. Rubber rectangular piece on back of proper left shoulder strap has fallen off and is missing. Text on front and back are worn.
