"The Scarlet Letter" Hester Prynne's (Demi Moore) Shoes

Description

Shoes created by the production for use in "The Scarlet Letter" (1995) for Demi Moore's portrayal of "Hester Prynne." Obtained directly from Demi Moore. Tan suede heeled shoes. Heels are wood with rubber soles. Stitched designs throughout the obverse tops. The shoes have large tongues with decorative golden brooches. Shoestrings cinch the shoes closed under the tongues. “Demi Moore / Ester” written on the interior on the proper left sides. “8 1/2” is carved onto the bottom outsole of each shoe.

Includes Planet Hollywood Certificate of Authenticity.

Condition

Accretions and abrasions throughout the heels and outsoles. Suede is worn from improper storage. On the proper right shoe, the proper right midpoint is creased, and the tongue is bent over towards the right.
