"Unknown Treasure" Blazer Attributed to Jerry Lewis

An exceptional piece of Hollywood history, this beige cotton sateen blazer is attributed to legendary comedian, actor, filmmaker, and entertainer Jerry Lewis. While the specific production in which the garment was used remains unidentified, the blazer's custom tailoring and period labels provide a compelling connection to one of the most influential figures in American entertainment.

The blazer features classic notched lapels, a three-button front closure, and four exterior pockets, creating a timeless and sophisticated silhouette representative of early 1960s menswear. Inside, the jacket retains a brown tailor's label reading, “DESIGNED EXCLUSIVELY FOR Jerry Lewis BY Sy Devore HOLLYWOOD.” An additional label sewn into the proper right chest pocket reads, “SY DEVORE HOLLYWOOD LAS VEGAS - PALM SPRINGS NAME JERRY LEWIS DATE 3-5-62 NO. 8624,” with the handwritten notation “109” appearing on the proper right side of the label.
