"Village of the Damned" (1995) Test Tube Baby

Description

Offered here is a distinctive foam test tube baby prop from Village of the Damned (1995), finished in a grayish-peach coloration and designed with unsettling anatomical detail consistent with the film’s eerie aesthetic. The female infant figure features a noticeably misshapen head, four fingers on each hand, and four toes on each foot, emphasizing the unnatural origins depicted in the story. An attached umbilical cord remains present, and the torso displays a prominent T-shaped incision across the chest, a detail commonly associated with autopsy examination and laboratory experimentation. The sculpt includes exaggerated lower body modeling, further contributing to the unsettling realism of the piece.

Condition

Condition shows notable production-related and age-related wear. The proper left hand has fused to the proper left leg, with areas of material loss and accretions present on the inner thigh near the crotch. The reverse is flat along the back, which may be original to fabrication or the result of prolonged contact with a surface. Additional accretions and abrasions are visible on the lower back.
